Tri-Ex  100 foot  Portable Tower
This is a Tri-Ex tower model number WRS-698. Mounted on a tandum axle trailer model number TRA-9-ND. It weights 6300 lbs. When the tower is nested (layed down) the trailer is 28 feet long, 7.5 feet wide and 7.75 feet high. It has electric brakes and a complete lighting package.

The tower is 26 feet long when it is nested. With the trailer at it's normal level setup position and out riggers extended. And the tower raised to it's vertical position, but not extended. It is 28 feet tall. When the lower section is extended it will be at the 70 foot level. And when fully extended it is 100 feet to the top. It uses two sets of guy wires. The first set is at 25 foot, and the second set is at 70 foot. It has a third set for extreme conditions at 100 feet. The trailer uses three 1.5 hp electric motors for raising and extending the tower. The tower can be raised by commercial power or the 3500 watt generator mounted on the back. There are two 12 volt [size 8D 1300 CCA] batteries  for running the radio equipment in case of a power failure. These batteries are charged by commercial power or a solar cell charging package that will keep the batteries charged during long storage times.

The radio gear consist of two repeaters, one UHF, and one VHF. Two remote base radios. One UHF, and one VHF. The radios are 40 watt GE MVS/Phoenix mobiles. The UHF repeater is controlled by a CAT-250 controller with a RLS-1000 link port switch. The link port switch has three ports. Port one is connected to port two of  the VHF repeater (which has a CAT-200 controller). Port two of the RLS is connected to the UHF remote base radio, And port three is connected to the VHF remote base radio. These radio's are programmed with the local and regional repeaters plus the standard simplex frequencies. With this system We can connect both repeaters together, or connect either repeater to a remote base radio.
Or It can connect all four radios together, or run each repeater seperate and use the two remote base radios as a cross band repeater. Antennas are commercial DB Products:
VHF-DB-224E, UHF-DB-420B, VHF remote is either a three element DB-230J, or a magnet mount 5/8 wave. UHF remote has a seven element beam or a Larsen 1/4 wave nmo mounted on top of the duplexer box.
Also there are 20, 40 and 80meter dipoles plus a 10,17, and 20 meter beam with a Ham 4 rotator.
More ideas are comming up to upgrade this system.
