REPEATER INFORMATION
The 444.700 repeater has a weather alert radio for warnings. It also has a weather station at the site, press 81 for temperature, 82 for repeater weather infomation.
The 444.700 repeater is located about three miles northeast of Calhoun La. The ground elevation is 195 feet above sea level. The tower height is 180 feet, with a
DB 420 antenna mounted at the 175 foot level. This is a GE Mastr II repeater tuned to the amateur radio band. The repeater is controlled by a CAT1000 controller. It has Auto patch with the area plus dailing option. To activate the patch on either machine press star then phone number. During the announcement key the mike once to suppress phone number play back. To deactivate patch press pound. This system also has a speed dail feature. For a speed dail slot contact W5KGT. With a speed dail slot,you can use the reverse autopatch feature . For speed dail operation key up and press seven then slot number. For reverse auotpatch, dail patch phone number which is 318-396-3967, at the beep press 1-1 then the slot number then pound. To receive reverse autopatch key up and press the 1 key and unkey, wait until you hear "call connect" then talk. During autopatch while listening to other person and you hear a beep, key up breifely the exstend listen time. To redail last number key up and press star twice. Maximun autopatch time is five minutes.
This repeater also has a Weather alert feature for severe weather warnings.
For time of day press eight zero, For temperature press eight one. For the current weather readings at the tower sight press eight two. To check your audio into the repeater keyup and press six zero zero star. And for general infomation keyup and press A1.
You can also check your keypad by keying up and press five then keypad numbers.
