Looking out towards the paper mill
  The 147.135 repeater has been moved to West Monroe on the Comcast Cable Tower. It should give better handie talkie coverage for skywarn and ARES activities.
  I want to thank Comcast for letting us put our repeater antenna on there tower and the repeater itshelf in the main cable control room for climate control and emergency backup power. I want to specially thank David Gore for asking me, And the hard work in convincing them to let us install it. 
The repeater is a GE mastr II 110 watt continuos duty commercial repeater converted for Ham use. It is controlled by a CAT-1000 controller with a LPS-1000 linkport board for linking purposes. Duplexor is a Sinclair Bp-Br  4- 6" cavity set.The link radios are 40 watt GE Pheniox mobiles. You can find more info at the Tech page.

It has  Auto patch with the area plus dailing option. To activate the patch on either machine press star then phone number. During the announcement key the mike once to suppress phone number play back. To deactivate patch press pound. This system also has a speed dail feature. For a speed dail slot contact W5KGT. With a speed dail slot,you can use the reverse autopatch feature . For speed dail operation key up and press seven then slot number. For reverse auotpatch, dail patch phone number which is 318-737-7199, at the beep press 1-1 then the slot number then pound. To receive reverse autopatch key up and press the 1 key and unkey, wait until you hear "call connect" then talk. During autopatch while listening to other person and you hear a beep, key up breifely the exstend listen time. To redail last number key up and press star twice. Maximun autopatch time is five minutes.
